Phantom Bouquets was started in 2022 and is a new series of unique nature prints inspired by ideas surrounding sustainable food systems.
The title comes from the book The Phantom Bouquet: A Popular Treatsie on the Art of Skeletonizing Leaves and Seed-vessels and Adapting them to Embellish the Home of Taste, which was written by Edward Parrish and published in 1863.
Roadkill was started in 2018 and is a series of traditional direct gyotaku prints (i.e. nothing is added or painted in). When possible the GPS location is recorded and a photograph of the animal is taken in-situ.
This project highlights the impact of habitat loss for wild species caused by human activity.
